NEAR Intents swap guide: networks, quotes and order tracking
NEAR Intents supports swaps between compatible networks. Choose the sending and receiving assets and networks, check the quoted output, and track your order. Here is how those steps and costs fit together.
Open NEAR
A multichain account without routine KYC
NEAR supports access through a wallet or passkey and advertises account creation without email, identity documents or a selfie. Its multichain account brings asset balances and cross-network swaps into one interface.
Platform comparison ↓NEAR at a glance
NEAR combines a multichain account with crypto-to-crypto conversion. Each swap quote specifies a source asset, destination network and estimated output.
| Platform | Services | Swap costs | Open NEAR |

Meet NEAR
NEAR
Open NEARNEAR provides the account and trading interface. NEAR Intents coordinates swap execution, while NEAR Protocol is the underlying blockchain. Swaps extend beyond the NEAR token to assets on other networks.
- Main features
- Multichain account, crypto swaps, destination-network selection and order status
- Account access
- An existing wallet connection or a passkey account, without email or routine identity verification
Cross-chain swap terms
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Source network | Network holding the input asset |
| Destination network | Network receiving the output asset |
| Quote | Output amount and validity period of the conversion |
How NEAR Intents works
An intent describes a transaction’s intended outcome. It specifies the available asset, destination asset and receiving location; the infrastructure determines the execution route.
Market makers, also called solvers, submit offers to fulfil the order. Contracts verify settlement, and the destination asset arrives at the specified address. Conversion and movement between networks are combined in one order. The NEAR Intents mechanism
NEAR accounts and identity verification
KYC is customer identification using information such as identity documents and a selfie. NEAR offers account creation and wallet or passkey access without this routine process. A passkey is a device-based sign-in credential.
Crypto conversion and bank payment services have different arrangements. Independent bank payment providers have their own verification requirements, while platform features remain subject to geographical eligibility and service terms. NEAR service terms
Which assets can you swap?
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT and USDC are among the assets supported by NEAR Intents infrastructure. The table shows examples and their networks; executable pairs depend on interface support and route liquidity.
| Asset | Example networks | Details |
|---|---|---|
| BTC · Bitcoin | Bitcoin | Native Bitcoin network support |
| ETH · Ethereum | Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base | The selected network is part of the order |
| SOL · Solana | Solana | Requires a compatible Solana destination |
| USDT · Tether | Ethereum, Tron, Solana | USDT is supported on multiple networks |
| USDC | Ethereum, Base, Solana | Each version has its own network and receiving route |
| wNEAR | NEAR | Wrapped NEAR appears in the asset list |
| DOGE / XRP / ZEC | Dogecoin / XRP Ledger / Zcash | Each asset on its respective network |

The structure of a NEAR swap order
A swap order brings together several elements:
- The source asset, its network and the input amount
- The destination asset, receiving network and recipient address
- A price quote, estimated output, slippage tolerance and expiry
- Funding from an account balance or a deposit to an order-specific address
- Conversion execution and the destination delivery status
A direct-deposit route can also include a refund address and memo or tag information. These fields depend on the network and asset. Order structure and execution
Open NEARBitcoin-to-USDT swaps on NEAR
In a BTC-to-USDT order, Bitcoin is the source asset and the output is USDT on the destination network. An example is BTC on Bitcoin converted to USDT on Tron; an executable quote depends on the amount, liquidity and route status.
USDT on Ethereum, Tron and Solana represents network-specific versions of the same stablecoin, with different receiving routes. BTC on the native Bitcoin network also differs from wrapped Bitcoin tokens on other chains.
The cost structure of a NEAR swap
A swap’s cost can include interface, execution, network transfer and bridge fees. The protocol fee is one component; the interface and execution route also influence the total cost.
The swap quote displays an estimated output before execution. Slippage tolerance is the permitted variation in execution price relative to the quote, which differs from a fixed commission. Official fee structure
Order status and settlement time
Settlement time depends on deposit confirmations on the source network, conversion execution and delivery on the destination network. An order can be awaiting deposit, processing, successful, failed or refunded.
A failed status records an execution error; a refunded status records the return of assets. Deposit addresses and transaction hashes identify orders in the NEAR Intents Explorer. Order status and processing
How to enter a platform
Use the platform’s entry button in the comparison table. For a swap, choose the sending and receiving networks and assets. For a perpetual, select a market, collateral amount and order type.
If a page does not load, check the connection and browser. A VPN can change the connection route; the platform’s country support and account requirements still apply.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of platform is NEAR?
NEAR is a multichain account and crypto conversion platform. It uses NEAR Intents to support swaps across networks.
Does NEAR require identity verification?
Wallet or passkey account creation is advertised without routine KYC. Independent bank payment services have separate verification requirements.
Which cryptocurrencies does NEAR support?
BTC, ETH, SOL, USDT, USDC, wNEAR, DOGE, XRP and ZEC are examples from the NEAR Intents asset list. The network and trading pair form part of each swap route.
Do NEAR swaps have fees?
Yes. The total can include interface, execution and network transfer costs. The swap quote displays the estimated output.
Does every swap use the NEAR token?
No. The NEAR token is one of the assets in the ecosystem. An order can convert between two other assets, such as Bitcoin and USDT.
How long does a swap take?
Timing depends on the source and destination networks, deposit confirmations and order processing. It varies between routes.
