ApeX beginner guide: sign up, deposit and place a first perpetual order
Getting started on ApeX involves three separate steps: account access, funding and order entry. Learn where to enter ApeX Omni, where a deposit appears and what to check when the trading account still shows no available balance.
Open and get started ApeX
Start with your task
Start with the ApeX entry button. Connect the account, deposit and identify the credited balance: Funding and Perps are separate. Transfer internally when needed, choose a market and order type, then distinguish the order status from the position it creates.
Choose your starting platform ↓How to sign in and connect an ApeX account
Use the entry button on this page and choose wallet connection or another available login method. Select the wallet account and confirm the connection request inside the wallet.
Account connection and funding are separate. Check the usable balance in the product you will trade. Money visible in a wallet has not necessarily been deposited into the trading account.
Open and get started ApeXDeposit with the correct asset and network
Open Deposit and choose from the currently supported assets and networks. Match the sending wallet or exchange network to the network selected for the deposit. A similar-looking address does not establish compatibility.
Blockchain confirmation and account credit are separate stages. Keep the transaction identifier, amount and network, and check the deposit history. Timing depends on network confirmation and account processing.
Funding, Perps and Spot: locate the deposited balance
The Funding account and product trading accounts are separate. To use a deposit in perpetuals or spot, an internal transfer to that account may be required. Open Transfer, select the source and destination accounts, and enter the amount.
An internal transfer is different from withdrawing to an external wallet. If Funding has a balance while Perps has none, check the account transfer before assuming another deposit is needed.
Place a first market or limit order
- Open the contract market and identify the symbol, such as BTCUSDT.
- Select long or short: the position trades rising or falling prices.
- Review order size, leverage and required collateral.
- Use Market for execution against available prices or Limit for a specified price condition.
- After submitting, inspect orders and Positions separately.
Illustrative calculation: 100 USDT collateral at 3× creates a 300-USDT nominal position. A 1% price move changes its value by about 3 USDT before costs. Funding and execution charges are additional items in this calculation.
Open and get started ApeXSeparate trading fees, funding and network costs
Execution charges depend on the product, order and account. Funding is a periodic payment associated with holding a perpetual position. Deposits and withdrawals can involve network or route charges.
A benefit advertised for a spot product does not establish the same benefit for every perpetual contract. Calculate costs using the applicable product and order terms together with any holding costs.
Closing a position and withdrawing are separate steps
Use the position’s close or reduce action to end all or part of the trade, then inspect the remaining position. An opposite-direction order can behave differently depending on account settings.
For an external withdrawal, select the available balance, account, asset, network and receiving address in Withdraw. Open orders and positions can tie up some funds. Closing a trade does not itself move the proceeds into an external wallet.
Open and get started ApeXResolve connection, deposit and order problems
For connection issues, inspect the selected wallet account and pending request, then reconnect. For a missing deposit, match its transaction identifier and network to Deposit. For credited but unusable funds, check Funding versus Perps and the collateral required by the order.
If the page itself fails to load, try another browser or connection route. A VPN changes that route; account and access messages have separate causes.

Each button opens that platform’s entry route. Separate platform, network and position-holding costs.

Getting-started questions
Can I trade immediately after connecting a wallet?
Connection does not create a trading balance. Check the deposit, credited account and any internal transfer needed.
Why is my balance in Funding but not Perps?
These are separate accounts. Use Transfer with the appropriate source and destination.
How do market and limit orders differ?
A market order uses available prices. A limit order specifies a price and may remain open until execution conditions are met.
Is funding the trading commission?
No. Execution commission and periodic perpetual funding are separate costs.
Does closing a position complete a withdrawal?
No. Sending available funds to an external address is a separate withdrawal step.
